This is my art movie,I hope you like it

My Tapa Design

First we planned for the drawing that we do ,we can do four different designs or one big designs. I choose to do four different designs. The first one I did was the Ikale Tahi which is a eagle, Ikale Tahi in tonga,its a tongan rugby team and in english its  a eagle.

My second choice was the Fa’a lau paogo which is a flower,not a daisy or a sunflower its a flower that comes from Samoa. Fa’a lau paogo is Samoan for a particular type of pandanus.

My third choice was Fa’a tuli which is a bird,its a  Sandpipers,Sandpipers is a large family of waders or shorebirds. They include many species called sandpipers, as well as curlew and snipe. Sandpiper are mostly seen at the beach,looking for food.

And my final and very last is a Hala Paini which is a tree. Hala Paini is the motif representing the Norfolk Pines that line the street to the Royal Palace of Tonga. Hala Paini originate from Norfolk Island which is located in between Australia, New Caledonia and New Zealand.

And that was it,I thank Miss paget for letting us do art,and teaching me things I never knew about art. A big thank you to Miss Paget.

Help Someone

Helping each other is very good,you can get wonderful things just for being helpful you can get a reward and even a good friendship.

When i'm at school my friends always helps me with things I don't understand and if I don't know what to do,During class when I have hard time thinking and don't understand in things in writing,reading,maths and inquiry.

I help others in many ways like on the park at home and even in the classroom.when i'm at the park I help people who gets hurt,so I take them too the sickbay. And when a little kid cant reach the flying fox I help them with that to by getting it for them.

It should  affect others because being helpful is very good. All you need to do is cooperate together and tell them helping each other is very nice,and sometimes you can even get a reward,the best thing is you can teach anybody and everybody else.

Remember use your wits and be helpful 24/7,treat other the way you wanted to be treated.

Tangle Pattern

Paragraph 1:

Ms Paget,Mrs Nua and Mr Barks had said “This morning we are going to do fun things.” I was surprised that we were going to do fun things on the first day of term four.I was excited that we were going to do art. Its called a tangle pattern. A Tangle pattern is like Maori weaving, but with paper and our designs on it.

Paragraph 2:

Its time to do some art! Figure out what to do. I drew some designs and didn't like them so I rubbed them out. I just kept doing that until I laid my head on a book and looked at it and there were Maori designs so I tried to draw it. I wasn't proud but I was happy that I found my final design yah.

Paragraph 3:

Starting with sketching then moving on with coloring in  I felt excited I couldn't wait to see everybody's artwork.l its going to be awesome Yeah im almost finished. coloring and coloring. Trying to finish fast and “DONE I said  proudly” yah I said to myself. yah!

Managing your self

Do you know what selfmanagent is? well if you don't  self management is when you take charge of yourself. Its important to manage your self, you should have a good attitude so students and teachers will see them as capable learners. In the classroom self management looks like,focusing on our work and taking charge of what we do.

At our school we have an area outside of our classroom,we call it the street because theres other classes near each other. Well self managing will have to be really good if you're aloud to go out on the street (outside of our classroom) Management looks like in the street is not talking to people from other classes,and don't MAKE TROUBLE.

At our school managing yourself in the playground is playing nicely with each other and be kind to the grass and gardens,Each and everyone should manage themselves because its respect too each others.

Life Ed Story

Hello and welcome to my blog,For the last 5 weeks we have been going to the Life Ed Caravan and talking about how drugs,alcohol and smokes are not good for you we have been learning what drugs do to you,1,it can kill you and 2 brain damage and more things.

Alcohol:

If you take drugs and drink alcohol then your brain would not function properly because if you drink a lot it would go to your stomach and some of the alcohol goes into your veins which lead too our brain and then if you don't control yourself then you may die because the the beer is shrouding around your brain.

Beer is 4 - 5 %

Wine is 15 - 25%

Spirits is 40 - 55%

Thats how much alcohol  goes into your body

Drugs:

Did you know that some drugs can kill people,most of the time teenageres,if you go to a party and your friend ask them to put this under your tongue and never do it because you don't know what it is,Whatever you do don't smell it and most important DON'T EVER PUT IT INTO YOUR MOUTH!

Did you know that drugs can blend into lollies.

Hello and welcome to my blog. This is my mascot named tumanako, he cames from tehaupa. He is a Maori warrior who guards the marea, so no one steals the food from the kitchen. There is a furnuale happening so we have to watch out at night because you don't know what gonna happen while everyone is sleeping.

“OMG a new starting at tech yahh, What am I in hmm? Graphics or Food” I wonder which one I am in. Hopefully I am in food because I loooove cooking, Well who doesn't. And then I got sent to cooking hooray I was so happy that I just wanted to start immediately. I wondered what we were going to make on the first day. We made tomato bake.

My partners where Faafetai & Mua.

Faafetai was cutting the meat and Mua was cutting the veggies & I was cooking.

While Faafetai was cutting the meat I had to run and get the pots,pans and food. Then I had to

run and get the veggies then I had to give it to Mua and it was very hard to cut the veggies because there was a lot of food to cut and there was only two knives.

       Then it was time to cook it took a while but there was only two groups that did not burn their food,my group and liku’s group his partners where anisha and faridah they worked well just like every other groups yahh time too put it in the oven, hoory then we got to wrap it up and and wash our hands.

Its time to go now oh and yahhh ohhh because I don't want to go and yahhh because we get to eat it it was so yum that I did not save some for my mum.

 How does echolocation works?

Echolocation works for bats to help them hunt for there prey. They squeak to make echos so they would not bump in to anything or crash land. And it even helps the bats to fly away from there enemies. The echolocations works by the bat talk in there language and it bounces of the walls or anything to that is flat.

What animals use echolocation the most??

whales, dolphins, shrews and bats.

Can humans be as blind as a bat???

Yes they can some people need glasses or contacts or they would be as blind as a bat.

My Fia Fia Night

Yesterday Point England did a huge rehearsal. We all lined up into our culture groups, I'm in Bollywood. But I'm not  Indian or Malaysian or anything like that. When Gloria said “lets give it up for the Bollywood,” I was extremely nervous that the butterflies in my stomach where  turning into wasps and stinging me.

The culture group that was before us was the senior kapa haka they were very good. Well we never got to sit because we were after the little kapa haka.The senior kapa haka was very very good and my friends where in there so I was cheering for them. The songs were  Nga Waka, Hoea Ra, Powhiri Mai, Kiko.

While we were dancing I was was so nervous that I got the actions wrong. I was trying my best but I got them wrong and after I did  that mistake I didn't do it again because our dance repeats itself.

At the end of the night was so great I had so much fun that I wish that it happens every single year. The sad thing about it is that this is my last Fia Fia because it happens every two years.

At our wonderful school we are safe ,we learn a lot and we always make new friends. Friend are important at our school.We should never have to be alone, only if you want to be by yourself.If someone is feeling lonely then you should go up to them and ask if they would like to play what you are playing.

Our school really value people showing empathy,how we learn at our school is using our netbooks and multimedia. We have been learning so much  from learning on our netbooks and multimedia, we are even teaching our parents how to learn to control a netbook. Each and everyone of us are teaching the world at our school, by putting information on our blogs. We do writing,maths,reading,science and the year 7 & 8 goes to tech on tuesdays and thursdays.

Our blog is what we put writing,reading,maths and science activities, we put our activities on our blog so we can show the world the way we learn. We can also leave a comment and reply to a comment and we can even learn things off little kids.

At the excellent Tamaki College we learn how to make things like wood works and real necklace that you make yourself, thats Mr Grundy class,which I am in. We learn about graphics,and how to make food. I really enjoy going tech thats why  I want to go every single day.

We have learnt a lot from each and one of  us. Put yourself in there shoes and keep up the good work everybody.

The necklace that I am working on at tech

At tech today I am up to my first sandpaper, and it is really hard because you scratch your fingers on to the sandpaper. But I love to go tech because you learn heaps, and by the way I love learning new things. I chose a moon because I am named after my Nana Marama and my name is Marama and in Maori my name means moon and i'm giving it to my Nana on her unavailing.

This is an movie that us girls made about empathy.

Empathy writing

Caring,looking out for each other ,respect,being kind,treat other the way you wanted to  be treated .Put yourself in there shoes. These are some of the words that mean empathy.

To show empathy you have to help people with their problems,ask people  if they’re ok and if you're on the playground or at home and someone hurt themselves you should help them up and take them inside to get a plaster.

Why is it important that people show empathy because if you only look at things you're way then you would not give anybody else a turn of having a go at something that is really important.

If someone is feeling down you must ask what happen and try too help them with their problem and use your wits. W walk away,I ignore it,T talk about it, S seek help.

It’s really about putting yourself in their shoes.
